This comprehensive battery offers a broad picture of a child's abilities with attractive materials and carefully designed game-like tasks suitable for children of both sexes and from various ethnic, regional and socio-economic backgrounds. The 18 subtests are organised into 6 scales, which are especially suited for differential diagnosis:

The overall measure of intellectual functioning (GCI - General Cognitive Index) is derived from the Verbal, Quantitative and Perceptual Performance scales. Mental age equivalents from this index extend from 1 year 4 months to 12 years 6 months.
